First on summer's reading list.

I recently read this book and recommend it for anyone who likes their suspense blended with sweet romance.

Review for Abby’s Gift

What does a woman do when her college roommate, whom she hasn’t seen in years, suddenly appears with a serious request that will change her life? That is the dilemma Janet Marshall faces in Abby’s Gift. How she accepts the gift of a child and rearranges her entire lifestyle makes for a heartfelt story of love and lessons learned. But along with the gift came threats and unexpected danger. Janet must soon decide the best way forward. I admired how she coped with the scary and even life-threatening incidents and yet kept it together for the sake of her little family. Having faced trauma in her own early life, she is determined not to let it happen to her adopted daughter, Aurora.

The romance in the story is light and not the main focus, but it is a sweet addition. Walt gives Janet the love and support she needs to face the challenges Abby’s Gift has brought into her life. Yet, just when you think they are headed for their happily ever after, more threats surface.

Ms. Ligon has delivered a story of promises kept and challenges faced for those who enjoy suspense, romance, and strong women characters. You won’t be able to put down Abby’s Gift.

It is my pleasure to share the cover reveal for fellow author Wendy Rich Stetson's upcoming new release, Shooting Sunshine. Isn't it beautiful?

One photograph can change everything

On assignment in Green Ridge, PA, New York photojournalist Darcy King will stop at nothing to bag a prestigious staff position at Hudson Magazine. Just one problem: her subjects are Amish, and they shun having their pictures taken.

As a wild teen on his Amish Rumspringa, Samuel Rishel fell prey to a photographer who splashed his face on a romance novel and left him with trust issues. Older and definitely wiser, he wants nothing to do with cameras until a pretty young photographer arrives in the family’s farmhouse B&B. Eager to support his mother’s fledgling business, he’ll help Darcy on one condition—no pictures of faces allowed.

Will Samuel and Darcy go from enemies to something more? Or will a single photograph shatter their trust forever?
